Privacy

Two different questions live on this page: what we collect about you, and what we publish about property. They have very different answers.

What we collect about you

No accounts, no email gate, no phone field, no lead capture. The address you type is sent to our own lookup endpoint to run the query and is not stored against you. There is no Google Analytics; traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate-only, and Google Search Console.

When email alerts launch, they will be email-only, double opt-in, with one-click unsubscribe in every message, and the address will be used for nothing else.

What we publish about property

Public records, from the agencies named on the sources page. Ownership appears because it is on the deed. We do not publish mugshots, arrest records, or anything searchable by person. Calls for service are aggregated to a block and never shown against a specific home. The full guardrails →

Having an address removed

Email suppress@sunshinefile.com. No explanation required, actioned within 48 hours. A suppressed parcel is removed from search, from its dossier and from every aggregate, and its suppression is not observable from outside — a suppressed address and an address we have never heard of return the same response.

Hosting, logs and ads

Served by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes request data — IP, user agent, URL — to deliver pages and stop abuse. Advertising units set their own cookies under their own policies; they receive nothing you typed. There are no auto ads.

Changes

If this policy changes the date at the top changes with it.
